Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
Lots of moving snow with every turn in <35 deg terrain . Skiing improved with a few tracks that helped us keep our speed in the deep snow. The top 20-30 cm was F hard and touchy, failing on isolation in nearly every hand pit and easily on test slopes. It was continuously sloughing and cracking under our feet all day.
Weather
- Cloud Cover
- overcast
We were in the field from 8am to 4pm with 2-4 cm of new snow every hour.
Snowpack
Heavier then expected storm snow onto of 3/12 rain crust. The crust was not boot supportable and would often suck your ski tips down when skiing and occasionally while skiing, making for touch trail breaking.
