Conditions in the trees were awful-frozen tree bomb debris with only a dusting of new snow on top of it. We found much better riding conditions in open terrain with 3-5 inches of new snow on top of the crust at 4800’. Minimal wind effect observed where we traveled today. Isolated cracking in the 3-5 inches of new snow sitting atop the crust while skinning up. W aspect 4800’

Overcast to broken skies. Mostly calm with some light breezes from the SW. Intermittent S-1 showers throughout the day.
Snowpack
3-5 inches of new snow on top of mostly supportive rain crust at mid-elevations. Did not investigate below the crust.
