Weather
Observation was made as an upslope storm was arriving. The storm under-produced the forecast bringing only about an inch of new snow.
Snowpack
The snowpack near the ridge line is obviously wind loaded and deeper than the pack below tree line. It is mostly faceted with different layers of hardness. The layer of concern is ~30 cm below the surface which will most likely become the next avalanche problem when we add more weight to the current snowpack.
