Weather
overcast skies, with occasional ray of sunshine breaking through. Light flurries on and off. Winds strong on Loveland Pass, but calmer as day went on and on west side of Divide.
Snowpack
The foot of snow that cam a couple days ago has settled into around 5 inches. The surface has formed a thin crust on flatter slopes and sunny aspects. There was a fresh dusting of 0.5 inches this am, with another dusting of around 0.5 inches by the time I left at 1pm. Below the recent snow is older firm crust layer 3-4 inches thick, and supportable.
