Cub lake pass

Summary We used this spring like weather window to attempt dome/sinister peaks via Downey/bachelor creeks. Friday afternoon we hiked then skinned up from the TH to 4100’ at bachelor creek. We were planning to sneak thru the complex section before dome glacier early Sat but were intimidated by the considerable forecast we got via inReach Friday evening (quite the upgrade from the green brick next day outlook issued Thursday nite). We decided to move camp up to cub lk pass Saturday then try to make it work by traveling thru the nite Saturday nite/ sunday. Sunday at 130am we bailed after hearing nearby avalanche from above while at 6300’ passed itswoot ridge, turned around and skied out Avalanches Widespread loose wet observed from cub lake pass, some had already gone when we saw the terrain for the first time Sat am, others we heard come down during the day sat. Recent glide avalanches and glide cracks showing east of cub lake. Then Sunday 130am we heard something come down near us from above, probably a cornice fall, glide, or snow shed from cliffs (snow surface totally frozen at the time) Ski conditions Throughout the weekend there was a mixed bag of snow conditions - in the alpine and in clearings various crusts (supportable, breakable, pseudocorn). In the trees was complete mush, no refreeze in the trees fri or sat nite. N aspects styrofoam, skied the best.
