We hiked up the ridge, stripe skins, I made a small 6 inch stationary jump at our turn around and the snow pack settled 2-3 inches. By an upside down ski pole handle probing there is 18 inches to 2 feet of dense snow with ~10 inches soft hoar below. No sides occurred, just whomping.
