Collapsing
widespread

Noticed wind transport in the Alpine. Whoomphing / Colapsing was experienced by all our groups in the field. Clear sky with no wind at lower elevations. Although we were not able to gain a lot of elevation, we dug in different locations towards Center Ridge, Tincan Backdoor, and Sunburst Backdoor. In General, even at lower elevations, were the rain affected the snowpack, we got some concerning results: Poor Structure on all the pits, ranging from 1000' to 1200' on different aspects. CT8, CT11, CT9 with Q1. ECTP12 40 down, ECTP23 50 down, ECTP16 43 down, some breaking right below the hard slap affected by snow, some at the top of the facets, which are bonding by the percolated water. We were part of a Level 1 from AAS.

Avalanche

Noticed recent avalanches on the Seattle Ridge East aspects, with starting zones on the bowls and running down the gullies. Other wet loose avalanches were released on some faces with alder areas below.
