This slide was originally reported as only being about 50' wide and contained within Coyote Chute. Further examination showed that it wrapped around the corner and up the ridge, extending for some 800'. Crown depth varied from 18" up to near 6'. Because of wind scoured surfaces, crown tapering, and the fact that it wrapped out of sight around the ridge, made it difficult for original reporting parties to observe the full extent of the avalanche.
