Quick report
GNP Rangers toured up to the 6996' Sub-Shields peak. We saw no signs of instability, but closed Northeast and high-angle terrain for ourselves. We were able to start skinning up from about 5000', but on the descent transitioned to hiking down at 5300'. The snow on the ridgeline was very wind affected. However, the first few turns from the top treated us to nice soft spring-style skiing.
