- <p>Those buried crust/facet sandwiches are in the yikes zone for us. After our tests Tom decided maybe not such a good idea to center punch Dog Leg chute. We received two ECTP16Q1 below the uppermost rain crust. Several repeatable PST's releasing with energy at 20cm cut length. PST 20/100 END below the rain crust.</p>

- <p>The faceting weaknesses above/below the rain crusts are scary right now not knowing where you might trigger the dragon (elevation/aspect). We chose not to push into steep lines, obviously. However we saw numerous folks center punching lines off Pioneer Ridge.</p> <p>We were far more alarmed with the persistent deeper crust weakness.</p>
Widespread wind scour and sastrugi. Surface impenetrable with skis in some places, unsupportable with ski PEN boot top in others. Dry, broken wind transported surface grains.
