Quick report

Late afternoon tour on Ophir. Cloudy skies and mostly calm winds with gusts to moderate. The NW summit access ridge was hard wind board and wind sculpted. On sheltered N and NE aspects, upper elevations held a mix of cold soft snow and relatively soft/thin wind crust. The bottom half (below ~8700) there were some areas of melt/freeze crust & denser snow where the sun & warmer temps had done their thing. Saw large settlement cones/cracks around trees throughout the tour.
