Quick report

2' of recent storm snow is sitting on a variety of snow surfaces. NW-N-NE feels the worst in this location, where the new snow is resting on very weak sugary facets.

Small isolated collapsing along ridgelines. Collapses were failing on 2/8 and did not travel long distances.

Cold day with minimal winds. The skies were partly cloudy. Drove through a few bands of S-1 snow between the SNRA and Baker Creek this morning. Accumulation was minimal.

Snowpack

-60cm of new snow over 2/8 facets or crust/facet combos.
-2/8 buried facets were the primary concern, and is present in the middle/ uppers on NE-N-NW.
-Dug on SW to look for presence and reactivity of 2/16. Nothing notable from our one test pit at 9500' SW. ECTNs failing with moderate force on facet/crust combination. The slab felt 'glued' onto the crust when prying it off after the test.

Avalanche

No new.
