Snowpack
About five inches of moderately light fresh over a dense but not at all heavy base on west-facing from about 9,300' to 8,700'. Another two inches fell between noon and 5 P.M. Nothing heavy, breakable or punchy, just really fun, somewhat fast turns and easy skinning. Dug a pit at 8,700' west facing, a spot that I have measured for about 18 years. Today mostly 265 cm to 280 cm, way more than the standard 140-160 cm usually found here. Clear ice layer 35 cm down. ECT 22 at 5 cm below this layer, but with very little energy. Nothing in the top 100 cm was damp.
