- <p>On larger ridge line cornices I am seeing the snowpack on the slope below starting to pull away from the cornice (snow creep). With warming temps can this "bergschrund" type space allow the weight of the cornice start to tip and cantilever until it breaks without any extra weight or pressure added? Thank you! </p>
