Clear evidence of our recent westerly winds could be found along ridge lines at middle elevations. 30-40 cm deep wind slabs were found on E aspects sitting on top of weaker snow above a melt freeze crust. I would describe their density as thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. Cracking and collapsing was specific to these leeward slopes. The slabs were stubborn and could only be forced to move on isolated features. Below 4600’ wet loose activity became the problem. It was easy to trigger loose wet slides on the robust drip crust buried on 2/23.

Multiple WL-N-D1 observed below 4600’. With ski cutting these could easily be triggered down to the tree drip crust.
