Quick report

Toured around rocky knob area, digging one full pit, and a few hand pits. The snowpack seemed to be generally stable, and with fewer crust layers than found around lost trail. E facing slopes had a several centimeter thick crust layer from the past few days warming, but it had not yet turned into an ice crust. By mid day the crust was softening. N facing slopes still had cold snow, at least in areas that were not overly affected by the wind. There was some evidence of old debris near the ridge top in a few places, but it was covered by the most recent snow.
