HS 100cm at 7600’ on a NW aspect. There are two prominent layers in the snowpack in this location, 2/1 & 2/14. 2/1 is primary concern with ECTP 12 down 65cm x2. We had a very large collapse. It echoed through the entire area in which we were traveling. We also had a couple isolated collapses where we found wind pressed snow. The day started out overcast with little to no wind, but picked up around 1200. Switching winds E-S-W. Snow was being transported at all elevations. Light to moderate snowfall for 2-3 hours mid day. Afternoon cleared to scattered skies. Ski conditions were great, cold light snow.
