Skied north face of blue lake peak (where you skin up for birthday tour) Could skin from trailhead but for descending would recommend sticking to a skin track/ summer trail for the lower 1000ft as coverage isn’t that good and it’s very firm under the few inches of light snow Good skiing above ~6400’ Noticed slab avalanche on steep face / cornice used to access Madison Ave. It was not there on the first lap. No tracks leading into the avalanche, however heard potential whumf when following a skin track below debris pile — possible remote trigger? Aside from this spooky occurrence, didn’t see other signs of instability.
