Quick report

Remnants of wet slides observed in the area from possibly yesterday. Nothing new today. Surface ice around the entrance of the chute and scattered along the entire climb. We used our ski crampons a lot. The ice patches + high winds last night seemed to break up any potential new wind slab outside of tiny pockets. The chute was in a similar condition to the uptrail with pocketed snow and ice but very skiable. Snow didn’t soften much throughout the day despite constant sun. At the top of the chute bailout (6200’ glacier vista point) we experienced high wind gusts from the east on the ridge around 3pm despite forecasts of no wind.
