average snow depth approx. 30". clearly defined depth hoar layer at the bottomf of the snow pack, but new snow bonding well. thin sun crust below last thursday's snow on SW aspects only. no cracking, whoomphing or collapsing observed. snow surface warmed slightly after noon as the sun broke.
