Quick report
Wet snowpack with ankle at times knee deep boot penetration. Above 6500 feet more of a solid pack below with about 5 inches of soft mash potatoed corn on top. Floatation devices would have helped. It's still possible to travel on snow from timberline to the upper mountain. Upper mountain summit rocks still visibly rime covered. Got a late start, so didn't travel that high.

Snowshoes or floatation of some sort would have really helped. At times post holing up to your knees below 6500 ft in a few places. Average ankle deep boot pack penetration. Above 6500 feet more of a solid pack below with about 5 inches of soft mash potatoed corn on top.
