Slide started while snowboarding between two cliff bands while in an area that may have a thinner snow pack than surrounding areas. When the slide went below the lowest cliff band it propagated and got much wider. The slide ran to the bottom of the slope, estimated at 700 vertical feet. The snowboarder escaped to the side of the avalanche and was not caught.
