Quick report
Toured into Hillmans/Dodges Drop Runout. The snow surface was quite variable between scoured surfaces, and soft, deeper, drifted pockets. We saw intense, active wind transport with varying wind direction/speed, moving snow effectively with no clear pattern of deposition. This observation, paired with report of shooting cracks in recent wind drifts from another skiing party higher up in Hillmans Highway kept us low in the runout, turning around at approximately 4400’ and heading to find some soft snow in the trees.
