Quick report
We didn't observe any avalanche problems during our tour. On a Southeast slope we were easily able to trigger rollerballs/pinwheels, and I could imagine Wet Loose avalanches possible on steep South slopes later in the day.

Calm, clear and warm.
Snowpack
It is amazing how little change there has been to the snow conditions during the last 2 weeks despite so many warm, sunny days. Sunny slopes have of course melted and refrozen; they were melted when we rode them but would have been crusty before the sun was on them. Shady slopes that are open to the sky and sheltered from the wind are still holding soft, dry snow. In the shadiest, coldest spots we observed 4 mm surface hoar. Under the trees, the surface snow is icy from tree bombs and drips.
There is a rain crust buried 10-15 cm. While there is relatively weak snow above and below this crust I couldn't observe any faceting when I looked at it with magnification.
