Quick report
We skied NW and E facing slopes in the Todd Lake zone. It was snowing consistently throughout the day (estimate 6cm fell from 8am-3pm) and winds at ridgetop were light from the S and W. Wind gusts were strong enough to transport snow. Surprisingly there were no signs of wind affected snow at treeline on the ridgetop and we saw no wind slabs or signs of instability. On NW facing slopes below treeline there was ~30cm unconsolidated snow on a firm crust. On E facing slopes below treeline there was ~60cm powder on the crust and ski quality was great. Hand shear tests and ski cuts on steep (40deg) E facing test slopes below treeline did not reveal evidence of a storm slab problem.
