Found myself ascending the ridge between West and Main Porter. Weather started as blizzard, transitioned to sunny and warm and back to blizzard in the two ish something hours I was out. as the blizzard let up, I found a drop in spot, a 50' wide gully. I felt safer dropping rather than the steeper more open slopes I'd just passed thinking they'd likely be more connected. I dropped and did a slope cut to the other side of the terrain feature and saw it break out a couple feet above me. Safely on the other side I watched it entrain a decent amount of snow and traveled probably 250' down until try slope angle mellowed. It did not hit the flats of the uphill track.
