- <p>You can see and feel where the 12 to 14" of consolidated snow lays on top of the storms from earlier last week. Overall the pack is bonding well and cracking wasn't obvious in the lower angle terrain in our area, but in the steeps today I'd imagine you could definitely get it to go.</p> <p>Stomped around a bit on the east facing ridgeline at the top of Twin Lakes pass, wasn't able to get anything to crack. Should be settling nicely throughout the day with the calmer weather.</p>
Snow was much more settled this morning compared to the 2' plus of classic Utah pow from yesterday. Looked to be about 14" of denser powder up top. Looks like this big right side up storm is going to go a long way to setting a solid base for our snowpack.
