Observed

Today, we rode into Tepee Basin. We enjoyed sunny, calm weather and 8” - 10” of new snow from Monday.

We observed a dry loose avalanche in steep, rocky terrain. Probably from earlier this week.

We found in many spots large surface hoar crystals (10-15mm).

Our ECT results around 9000’ didn’t show any propagation (ECTN16, ECTN22 on north and ECTN15 on south aspect).

On south facing, sun exposed slopes, we found a thick crust underneath the new snow (2-3”).
