Aspect is north Northeast, HS is 48" in wind protected areas, ski pole in photo is 125 cm. The basal 8" consists of damp rounds, 2 finger density. No facets in this area.
The rest of the snow pack grades from 2 to 4 finger hardness with one 1 finger crust (wind) about 10" above the top of the damp rounds. This is the strongest snow pack I have encountered anywhere in southern Utah this winter.
Wind exposed areas near the ridge tops contain a thinner weaker snow pack as to be expected.
North facing meadows are filling in nicely in this area.
I was impressed by the strength of the snow pack when compared to the recent forays in the Pahvants and Tushers. It is worth noting that accessing this area without a motor would entail a very long slog.
I would say a low danger in this area. I think it is always worth noting that low does not mean no.......

Generally settled powder with a trace of wind affect.
Some south aspects were slightly damp in the afternoon. Some south aspects had a light crust.
