Snowpack
There was 5-10cms of snow from the previous 48 hours. The clearing the night before allowed for some surface hoar but it was spotty. The new/recent snow fell on either bare ground or a melt-freeze crust. HS varied from 8 to as much as 40cms in shaded terrain. Pit attached. The depth hoar at bottom not a concern as its mixed in with ground cover.
