- <p>Collapsing on a number of NW to W aspects. Dug two quick handpits and both had a hard, wet slab with planar shear about 4 inches below 3 inches of new snow. Seemed as if the top layer turned to slush and then didn't refreeze to the crust below. Didn't seem to propagate and nothing went on small scale terrain we skied but it was enough to keep us off the big lines on red top.</p> <p>The top 3 inches of fresh seemed to move pretty slow as sluff, suggesting good bonding to the slab below. Some grauple fell, so potential to create a new weak layer</p>
