Continued wind loading, though minimal, and beginnings of warming. At 8:30 AM, areas of exposed surface crust had thawed 7,000’ and below.

Avalanche

Lower West Crater Rim, highest portion of crown approx. 10,000’, S aspect. Likely occurred in last 24 hours, based on minimal reloading. Natural. Ran from 10,000’ to slightly below 8,500’. Either two connected avalanches or two separate that occurred at similar time. Higher crown approx. 300’ wide, 3’+ high, lower crown approx. 200’ wide, 1.5’+ high. Hard to see in morning light, but likely failed on crust formed the night of 5/3. HS-N-R3-D3-I
