Quick report

Followed the up-track/forest roads to their end at around ~4300 ft. Opted to drop from there into Christmas Tree Bowl. The fresh snow was dense and heavy lower down, below 3500 ft or so, but lighter and more enjoyable powder above that. We saw perhaps 6-8 inches of fresh snow. Precip was on and off throughout the day. Many many tree wells and holes in this area, especially down low, and it was easy to have snow on the skin track just above a tree well give way. We tested several small and low consequence steeper slopes and did not notice much reactivity, just some sluff.
