BBQ Trees ski tour. Dug pit SSW aspect at 6100ft (46.93592, -121.45247). Snow depth 185cm. Compression test: new snow (~top 10-15cm) failed at 8/30. No results below that. Propagation test: no results. Hardness: fist until JDL. Pole below that. Snow tasted good throughout. Field observations: Evidence of wind loading 6500 ft. Cornices on N ridge. No shooting cracks or whumphing observed. Temperatures warmed throughout day. Roller balls and wet surface snow observed. Light snow and great ski and travel conditions. Minimal wind.
