Quick report

I noticed valley fog in the morning and suspected a temperature inversion. This was confirmed as we felt less of an overnight refreeze in the surface snow as we gained elevation from the trailhead. Boot penetration was several inches deep at 10am. Small natural roller ball activity was observed, and test slopes indicated wet loose instabilities. By mid-day this included all aspects, and steep slopes began to shed - but not quite enough to categorize as avalanching. Riding quality in low angle terrain remained excellent into the afternoon.

Roller ball activity began early and continued as the day warmed
