Light westerly winds at the ridgetop. A valley cloud was moving in and out all day, getting thicker in the afternoon. No precip while we were out.

Snowpack

We dug one pit on the top of Main Bowl (Elev. 2550', NE aspect). We found a generally right-side-up snowpack with no major concerns for the most part. We did see the mid-October crust buried about 4-5' deep, with a thin layer of facets immediately below the crust. We didn't get any results in our pit (ECTX), but the column did have a very clean shear below that crust. This is something we will continue to track for now.
