Quick report
We headed up Mt. Alice to investigate the human-triggered avalanche that occurred on Saturday, but strong winds kept us at the top of treeline. The snowpack from 1,000' (where the snow begins) to 1,200' is a solid crust. Above 1,200' there is a breakable crust about 2" thick with a dusting of new snow on top.
The snowpack at 1,500' was 5' deep (150cm) and a mix of crusts and rounding facets. We did not get any concerning results (CT11 PC 3" down, ECTX). There was quite a bit of snow being transported by the wind above about 2,000'. We did not see any surface hoar on the surface or within the snowpack. Ski quality was pretty bad, but the views were amazing.

It was warm and overcast today. Strong northerly winds were blowing snow in the upper elevations.
