A walk from the east side of the range to Guardsman's Pass today revealed the stark contrast between the snow depths on solar and polar slopes. Thin turns could be found on shady aspects, but the tide remains low. A hole revealed a rather interesting snowpack, and cash register propagation. The recipe for multiple potential layers of concern will be interesting to watch as more snow falls.
