Nice soft snow until about 5500 feet Then solar affected crust probably from inversions wed. Lots of interesting frost hoar around 6400 on the ridge. Could see some pinwheeling snow below thei summit Around 12/1pm temperatures rose pretty quick and snow felt heavy and saturated Hiked up snowshoed down 500ft then boot-packed Dug a quick pit.
