Quick report

Tore it up at blue lakes road yesterday - Thursday the 13th. Storm snow was well over 2ft above 8,000ft - of soft, blower, good stuff. Light winds, light snow throughout the day. Found a storm slab release on a test slope, 8,200ft, north facing slope (that nice test slope on the left side of blue lakes rd, just above charity valley creek drainage). Unsure if it happened naturally overnight on Wednesday, or was remotely triggered by snowmobilers passing through Thursday morning. Either way - validated storm slab instabilities for our day of riding. However, we did not encounter any further signs of instability on subsequent test slopes throughout the day. Best day of the season, no doubt.
