- <p>Gusty south winds were moving lots of snow around today creating fresh and quite sensitive wind drifts on the north side of the compass. Around mid~morning these were sensitive and not overly deep, but by mid afternoon these were getting a fair bit deeper and stiff. It was great cornice building weather today and some of these fresh cornices and drifts were breaking naturally and entraining the new snow as they hit the slope.</p>
Sluffing of the new snow and sensitive wind drifts were the main hazard today. Some of these dry sluffs were picking up speed as they moved down hill with a small dust cloud, but not overly deep.
Winter like on the ridge line with gusty south winds blowing lots of snow around. But nice creamy snow was found in sheltered terrain.

A nice little re~set with new snow today, with about 5~6" around the Whitney Area. It was some good medium density snow to fill in some old tracks and the riding and turning was quite good on sheltered north facing slopes.
