While weak snow still exists throughout much of the snowpack, the structure of the slab overlying the weaker snow was weakening in areas that we traveled.

Leaving the car in the late afternoon, the skies were mostly socked in both the SE and the NW cross valley, with a small view of the sky open in patches overhead. As we climbed, we experienced very light precipitation that was a mix of snow and rain, however it was so brief and light that it did not have a notable impact on surfaces. Winds were calm throughout the entirety of our tour.
Snowpack
Traveling from the car, we found 5-7cm of HN and soft surfaces down low. As we climbed into more wind-sheltered areas, HN increased up to 10cm. On a N-facing slope at ~8500', we didn't find a particularly strong slab structure on top of the weaker snow. Snowpack tests yielded CPST 24/200 SF x2 as well as multiple ECTN's with moderate force in the upper and mid-snowpack. This made for the HN to blend into the softer, weaker snow below under our feet as we traveled downhill. At ridgeline, there was only minimal wind effect, but enough to change the texture of some surfaces.
