Ski triggered wind slab avalanche. Intended to ski east facing shoots off north ridge of Mount Houghton in Mt Rose Wilderness area. Approximately 10,300 ft elevation. Ski cut at chute entrance and triggered 6-8” wind slab avalanche at my feet. It propagated across width of chute (12-15ft). No skier caught. No injuries. Hiked out of chute.
