Quick report
Today was sunny and 41 F on the Rim. Winds to 25 mph AM and 15 mph PM. There is no snow at all below 6000', very little between 6000 and 7000', and ridges are melted out to 8000. Snow was frozen hard early today with a lot of ice (rain on rime) above 7600'. By early afternoon it had softened down 4-6 inches. I saw old debris from one small wet avalanche on an east aspect of Monitor Ridge at 6800'. There were no signs of instability anywhere. The Bivouac Road (summer route) is gated and locked for the season. Climbers start at the Marble Mtn Snow Park.
