Quick report
Spent the weekend on Little St. Joe, skiing Saturday and Sunday. Both days were COLD, blustery, with periodic periods of snow. 2-3 inches of new snow accumulated, primarily on Saturday. Snow was deep, soft, dry, and made for fantastic riding. Observed no cracking/whumpfing, or avalanches. We skied primarily conservative (under 30 deg.) slopes on Saturday. On Sunday, we dug a pit on an eastern aspect at about 8500 feet. New snow of 4 inches, on top of a denser 20". Shovel Shear showed a clear planar break @24 in., however we got no propagation on the ECT (ECTN). We skiied the steeper south bowl with no incident on Sunday.
