Stayed in safer terrain today, touring up the Alpental valley into the Source Lake zone. Skiied 2 routes, Big Trees and Unicorn. Snow down below 3.7k is generally a dusting on crust and not worth skiing. Above 4k, snow matched the forecast, snowing about 10-12 inches. There are two interfaces within the storm snow, each about 5-6 inches apart. Storm snow fell on top of the previous crust, below which was very sugary and faceted. Conducted an ECT on the snow, showing a ECT12 for the first layer with no propagation and an ECT16 for the second layer with minor propagation. We did not see or hear any whoomfing or shooting cracks, but the snow did occasionally slide on the up track in a minor capacity on that pre-storm icy layer, esp where snow was more minimal (under trees, 4-5 inches of snow). We did not trigger any avalanches and enjoyed a couple of runs down the Big Trees/Unicorn face. Luge track out is kind of a mess still and needs more coverage to avoid needing to sidestep up.
