Quick report
Day off tour south of the advisory area.
- Found a recent large soft slab avalanche that was likely triggered by natural cornice fall during the last two days.
- I could not replicate this result by punting smaller cornices down a leeward east slope.
- Fresh natural rollerballs on very steep and rocky upper elevation slopes.
- Triggered roller balls and small loose wet on a steep northwest slope.
- Noticed glide cracks on all aspects.
I gave cornice and glide cracks a wide berth, but was otherwise comfortable traveling in obvious avalanche paths.
Caused many roller balls and some long running loose wet on an upper elevation northwest slope at 5pm.Weather

Moderate westerly gusts above 7000'.
Snowpack
Roughly 10 to 16 cm of snow from the weekend storm on top of the stout mfcr. Isolated drifts 30 to 50 cm thick above 8000'. Slopes facing E-S-W had a thin mfcr capping the recent snow.

Small skier triggered loose wet on northwest. Previous small natural loose wet on steep and rocky southerly slopes. Recent large soft slab avalanche caused by cornice fall in wind loaded east slope at 8600'. Will add avalanche events at a later time.
