- Wind Loading, Cracking, Rapid Warming, Poor Snowpack Structure
Warm today and the snow has deformed significantly. Slab on top is harder and more cohesive. Wind has affected ridgelines and cornices are forming. These new cornices are sensitive. Rain has affected the snow at lower elevations and we saw rollerballs at temple fork. Trace amount of new snow today higher. These layers should make an excellent base but there are many rocks exposed on the backside.
