- <p>Not much change in structure - see pit photo below. In addition, some punchy snow felt walking around, seemed to be in the upper layers of denser wind affected snow, not the facets.</p>
A quick look at a north facing slope - shallow snow pack of about 2 feet. Mid pack facet layer (upper arrow) seems to have strengthened significantly in this area - not reactive in CTs or ECTs, but found with shovel shears and brushing the wall. Depth hoar on the ground was moist, but facets directly below the dirt layer (lower arrow) were still weak. ECTP 21, Q2 , but also several ECT tests with no propegation.
Shallow snowpacks like we currently have can have great variation, especially in the lower layers, over short distances due to changes in ground cover such as rocks, downed trees, etc.

- <p>In the short term, concerned the forecasted snow and water amounts will keep the buried weak layers sensitive, and triggerable by a person. In the long term, the more snow the better, so the sooner we can develop a deeper snow pack.</p>
