- The midweek warming and rain left a friable melt-freeze crust that's now buried by 5-20 cm of new low density snow from the end of the week.
- The end of week snow is cohesionless and dry, with very little slab characteristics.
- The recent snow is already faceting and sidehilling/ skinning is difficult.
- We found very few signs of wind slabs, even at the top of chute that would normally collect drifted snow.

Clear skies in AM with cold temps (19* at car). Similar temps up high, though shadowed cirques felt cold. Some fog and clouds built around peaks through the day, then overcast mid-late afternoon. Calm to light winds.

Warming midweek left 3-8 cm thick Melt-Freeze crust on surface. Not particularly slick. 1F-P hard. This now buried by 5-20 cm of low density recent snow that's already faceting and topped with surface hoar. in places.
